The Walpole Senior Center (The Walpole Council on Aging)
The Walpole Senior Center has always been a strong supporter of Ora and her projects. Unfortunately, Ora never had the opportunity to visit the new Center which opened in December, 2018. Nonetheless, the Council on Aging continues to support Ora's legacy, such as hosting Ora's Memorial Celebration on August 5, 2019, and more.
Memorial tree, plaque, and brick for Ora On behalf of the Council on Aging and the Town of Walpole, Kerri McManama (Council on Aging Director) and Patrick Shield (Assistant Town Administrator) had a red maple tree planted in the Senior Center patio in Ora's honor with a special plaque at its base. A brick in Ora's name was donated by Courtney Riley, former Senior Center Director.
Ora's Creative Corner Ora conceived and ran a program she called Creative Corner, which each month offered creative activities for seniors. In honor of Ora, Kerri McManana, Counsel on Aging Director, came up with the inspired idea to re-name the program "Ora's Creative Corner."
